“Encouragement to others is something everyone can give. Somebody needs what you have to give. It may not be your money; it may be your time. It may be your listening ear. It may be your arms to encourage. It may be your smile to uplift.”  JOEL OSTEEN

Be an ENERGY source!

Your words can tear down or build up.

“Encouragement is the fuel for the human spirit.”  Coach Lucy

Toby Mac’s lyrics in his song “SPEAK LIFE” is a reminder of the power of our words.  We can truly speak life into another when we choose to encourage.

A moment can change everything.  Imagine starting the day off by reading a note from a loved one:  “Have an awesome day. You are the best!”

Or while checking your email INBOX you receive an email which reads:  “I just wanted to say that your work on our project made all the difference.  Your attention to detail was spot on.”

During a quick stop at the grocery store and you cross paths with a friend.  They stops you and says, “It’s always good to see you.  You always bring joy to my day and can make me smile. I really appreciate for all you do.”

Be the change you want to see in the world.  Be the light in a dark work.  Speak words of encouragement.

No matter our age, we all need encouragement.

A positive comment can change a moment and possibly a life.   We all can remember a positive or negative comment directed at us in our life.  It’s etched in our memory and the desire for encouragement never goes away.

How can you tell if someone needs encouragement?

Easy, simple check to see if they’re breathing.

Eyes wide open. When you see someone doing something special, going the extra mile, step up and acknowledge it!  By acknowledging them, you are touching their heart with a flame of confidence.

By encouraging others you are starting a rippling effect of good things.  The “pay it forward” philosophy will touch lives you’ll never come in contact with.  Be the change you want to see in the world.  It can all begin with a simple act of encouragement.

  • Make an effort to find folks to encourage every day.
  • Be genuine and take action.  Communicate it either verbally or write them a note.

When you begin this habit, you will become addicted to the positive energy it creates in others and in you.
